How to Download and Install
For Android Devices
Open Google Play Store on your phone and search for “L44”. Our official app should appear at the top. Tap the green “Install” button and the download will begin automatically. Depending on your internet speed, it may take 2-5 minutes. After download, installation completes automatically with no extra steps.
For iOS Devices
Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and tap the Search tab. Search for “L44 money transfer”. Our app appears with a blue icon. Tap “Get”. You may need to enter your Apple ID password or confirm with Face ID. After verification, the download starts. Installation is usually faster on iOS devices.
When the download completes, the “Open” button appears. Tap it to open the app. On first launch, you will see a welcome screen and permission requests for notifications, location, and camera. Allow them, then log in with your L44 account. If you do not have an account, use “Sign Up” and create one from the app. After email verification, you can start using it immediately.
App Usage Tips
Configure notification settings properly so you do not miss important updates. Go to Settings > Notifications and choose which alerts you want. Keep Transaction complete, Payment received, and Special offers enabled.
Battery optimization is important. Turn off background app refresh if you do not always need notifications. Set location services to “While Using App” only; Always Allow uses more battery. Keep auto-brightness on. Dark mode saves battery on OLED screens.
To control data usage, turn on “Data Saver Mode” from settings. Image quality will be slightly lower, but data use drops significantly. Keep auto-download on WiFi only so large files do not download over mobile data. You can also reduce transaction history sync frequency or use manual sync to cut background data use.
Security settings are the most important. Turn on App Lock and use PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or Face ID. Keep auto-lock timeout at 30 seconds.
Keep auto-update enabled. New versions will install automatically, giving you new features and security patches. Turn on “Auto-update apps” from Play Store or App Store settings and choose WiFi only to avoid mobile data use.
System Requirements
The L44 app runs on most modern smartphones, but some minimum requirements apply for the best experience. Android devices need at least Android 6.0 Marshmallow. An internet connection is required for transactions. It works on 3G, but 4G or WiFi is faster. Some features work offline, such as transaction history, but sending new payments requires internet. Camera permission is needed for QR code scanning and KYC selfies. Location permission helps find nearby agents, and contacts access lets you send money directly to saved numbers.
App vs Website
Many people ask what the difference is between the app and the website. Both offer the same core features, but the experience is different. The app is faster because much data is stored locally. The website loads from the server each time. The app supports notifications and offline mode, while the website does not.

Troubleshooting
The most common problem is an “Installation Failed” error. This usually happens when storage is full. Check phone storage and keep at least 100 MB free. Delete old apps or files, clear cache from settings, and try again. If it still fails, clear Play Store or App Store data, restart, and download again.
If login has issues, first check your internet connection. Open a browser and see if any website loads. If internet works, reset your password using “Forgot Password”. Check email for the reset link, set a new password, and log in. If you see “Account Locked”, wait 15 minutes. Three wrong password attempts trigger automatic lock.
If the app runs slowly, it is a performance issue. Close and reopen the app. If many apps run in the background, RAM fills up, so close other apps. Restart the phone and clear cache from app settings.
If notifications do not arrive, check settings. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > L44 > Notifications and make sure Allow is enabled. If L44 is included in battery optimization, remove it so the app can run in the background.
If updating has problems, first check storage. Update files need space. Go to Play Store or App Store and check “My Apps”. See whether L44 has a pending update and try manual update.
